I was contacted by Alison recently, via my website, to make her new puppy a bespoke dog collar.

She and her partner recently adopted an adorable St Bernard puppy called George.
The problem with George is that he is growing at a phenomenal rate. Already he has outgrown the largest shop-bought dog collar that Alison could find.
The Dog Collar
So, I made a 30″ collar (yes I really did say 30 inches) with brass metal fittings.
At first, I had to double check with Alison again that the size of the collar she wanted was correct because my inside leg is 30″ and it just seemed too big!
‘OMG! He’s Huge!!!’
Alison did reassured me that George was in fact HUGE and although he is still only a baby they estimate his neck will grow to around 30″ by the time he’s fully grown. Can you imagine just how big he is?
I normally make belts to 30 inches so making a collar this size was definitely a first for me, but certainly not the last, I hope.
The Finished Item
