Scarecrow Festival 2019

Scarecrow Festival 2019

During the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of September I took the Lady Saddler stand to the Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival 2019. Staying Over I was advised it was going to be a busy weekend so I arranged to stay overnight with the family in our caravan, rather than rush home. Glad I did now because it meant Saturday evening wasn't such a busy one, having to pack up, get home, have tea and then get up early to do it all again on the Sunday. Instead we had a chilled out evening and a lazy morning. The Weather Saturday was by far the busiest day of the two as we had the most glorious sunshine any event could wish for. Sunday, however, was a different kettle of fish and pretty much rained most of the day but we didn't let it dampened our spirits and still had a good day. Meeting New People I enjoy doing these events because I can personally speak to people I...

Enville Village Show 2019

On Bank Holiday Monday, (just gone), I took the Lady Saddler stand to the Enville Village show. "I have an affinity with this show" It is the village in which we live and so not only do I love to give them my support, it's also where I launched the business' first trade stand in 2017 and so I have an affinity with this show. All Things Western Every year there is a theme to the show. This year it was all things western and we were encouraged to dress as a cowboy or girl. In the rush to get everything completed on time I forgot the dress code. However, it was great to see some people had put on their checked shirts, cowboy boots and/or hats. ***Note to oneself - remember the dress code next year. lol :-)*** Busy Day The weather was glorious, all day; in fact a little too warm at one point but thankfully the Gazebo gave us some shade. I was so...

Tenbury Countryside Show

Tenbury Countryside Show

On Saturday 3rd August, I took The Lady Saddler stand to the Tenbury Countryside Show, in Tenbury, Worcestershire. "A well organised, well set out show with plenty to do and see for all the family!" This was the first time I had ever attended this show; never before had I even heard of it. Nevertheless, it was really well organised, well set out show with plenty to see and do for all the family. Arena Views The Lady Saddler was located right alongside the countryside arena. It was great to have such a prominent spot with a great view of what was going on. As normal, I set my stand up with two tables. One had some pre-made items available for sale and the other was where I set up a bit of a workbench and demonstrated the traditional techniques of hand stitching leather. Leather Skins For a change, I hung a couple of leather skins at the back of my stand and one...

Enville Village Show 2018

At Enville Show Again Following on from last years successful launch, it was only natural to display my leatherwork again this year at the Enville Show. A fabulous day was had by all, and it was very humbling to hear that some people recognised me from my Facebook page. Brushing Boots Repair A lady, who had noticed I had checked in, via Facebook, even brought a pair of brushing boots with her for me to repair. She went for a wander around the show and a coffee with her partner, whilst I repaired her boots. There is always plenty to see and do for all of the family at the Enville show and thankfully the weather held out for us. Thank you It was lovely to see so many of you visit our stand, saying hi and grabbing a business card. Just a reminder, that some of the items displayed on the stand during the day are now for sale and available via the online shop. ...
