Tenbury Countryside Show

On Saturday 3rd August, I took The Lady Saddler stand to the Tenbury Countryside Show, in Tenbury, Worcestershire.

“A well organised, well set out show with plenty to do and see for all the family!”

This was the first time I had ever attended this show; never before had I even heard of it.

Nevertheless, it was really well organised, well set out show with plenty to see and do for all the family.

Arena Views

The Lady Saddler was located right alongside the countryside arena. It was great to have such a prominent spot with a great view of what was going on.

As normal, I set my stand up with two tables. One had some pre-made items available for sale and the other was where I set up a bit of a workbench and demonstrated the traditional techniques of hand stitching leather.

Leather Skins

For a change, I hung a couple of leather skins at the back of my stand and one in particular, the goat skin (with the hair still on it), was very much in demand. Note to self – bring some skins to sell at the next show

The weather stayed warm and dry all day and plenty of people came and said hello and even a few brought an item or two to take home with them.

Measured up a Pony

I also got the chance to measure up a stunning little pony for a new leather headcollar, but more of that in another blog.

All in all it was a lovely day and I met some wonderful and people. I just love my job when I get to talk about leather to those who are interested in the craft.
