First Trade Stand of the Year

First Trade Stand of the Year

Event in Wolverley

On Sunday 2nd June I attended the Wolverley Country Craft Fair and Fun Dog Show with my trade stand.

Wolverley Craft Show

It was really nice getting the trade stand back out again, especially after last year’s disaster, when the gazebo blew over by a freak gush of wind.

Just before Christmas, my wonderful husband found another gazebo online that was second-hand but was better quality for a not such a bad price, so off he went in his truck to pick it up.

Networking

“Much prefer to talk to people than sell to them”

Usually, I attend these local events to network with people more than sell to them, as I’m pretty useless at being a sales person and would much prefer to talk to people than sell to them.

As long as people are taking an interest in what I’m doing and take a card (just in case), then that makes me happy.

Products & Services on offer

I made some different coloured stirrup keyrings this year, as mentioned in my recent blog, which went down a storm, and everyone always appreciates the moustache keyrings too. Often picking them up to put under their nose and then realise the real leather smell.

I had lots of people asking me about my repair service that I provide and even booked a polo belt in there and then that needed extending.

Dog Show

To top it off, the children insisted on bringing one of our dogs to the show so they could enter the fun dog show which was great fun for them.

It was a shame that the weather wasn’t completely kind to us, having a couple of heavy downpours, but then finishing off with sunshine, just in time to dry everything off before having to pack it away.

Hopefully, we shall be back again next year, but in the meantime I will be preparing for the next event.
